How_to_revise_without_ruining_Christmas
Christmas
and New Year are coming… as well as credits and exams. A vast majority of
students get s stressed and still does’t know how to manage a timetable and
jungle all these things like credit preparation and holiday time.
I believe
that an article that I found on the Guardian will be a great tip advisor for
all students. The name of the article is How to revise without ruining Christmas – by exam experts. It contains
seven different pieces of advice given by ex-students, lectors and
psychologists. You can find it interesting because the tips are quite short and
they may really help you.
The first tip is repeating material wherever you are. It is better that
you read your notes out loud. It may be useful to rewrite something you cannot
memorize to refresh your knowledge.
Secondly, we are supposed to identify the time we are most productive, in
order to manage our resources reasonably. It said that the morning is the most
productive time of the day for a great number of students; however, the others
prefer to work at night. Also we shouldn’t forget about proper duration of
sleep.
The third point is about finding out a way of work you prefer. You can create
a schedule; for example, a forty-minute lesson and a fifteen-minute break. The writers
of the article recommend us not forget about rewarding ourselves with candies
or something that will make you stay motivated and determined.
Next point is being creative while learning material. Drawing diagrams
and building mind maps, you memorize information automatically. Don’t neglect
your chance to work with friends, you can prepare with your pal, check each
other and use different apps like Quizlet. You may use your apartment and stick
your notes to the items like fridge, mirror and so on. So wherever you go you
are preparing for the exams.
There were other tips. You can go to the Guardian and read them all.
It seems to me, that all students must read these tips, calm down and
start their work. There should be no panic. We must remember that exams are not
the reason to be devastated or depressed, it is just a grain of sand in our
life.
Yes, indeed, it's a very interesting topic, thanks to which you can become a more effective learner
